Donuma started in 2020 as a small passion project on Etsy.

We were simply fascinated by the idea of turning a song into a music box — taking something digital and emotional, and making it real, something you can hold and hear.

What began as a fun experiment quickly became something much more meaningful. We started receiving messages and reviews from customers that honestly brought us to tears — stories of gifts for weddings, memorials, anniversaries, and moments that truly mattered. That’s when we knew this wasn’t just about music boxes anymore — it was about helping people capture emotion through sound and craft.

Humble Beginings

In those early days, every note was punched by hand. These photos capture where it all started — with our first tools, handmade experiments, and the spark that inspired everything Donuma has become.

Today, Even though our music boxes have become more sophisticated, the meaning behind them hasn’t changed.

Each piece still carries a story, a song, and a feeling meant to last. What began as a simple way to turn music into something tangible has become a way for people to preserve their most meaningful moments.
