To Alice was originally called "Bagatyle in A Minor". It is an independent piano sketch created by Beethoven in 1810. It is a memorial work dedicated to "Alice" by Beethoven. The work was discovered by posterity in 1867 and was later included in the Addendum No. 59 of Volume 25 of The Complete Works of Beethoven.
